The transfer saga around Simone Zaza is about to come to an end, after his father confirmed to Spanish newspaper Superdeporte that the player is set to sign for Valencia.

The Italian forward is expected to undergo medical examinations this weekend, and a deal could be officially announced on Monday.

Valencia will sign Zaza on a loan deal until the end of the season, but must make it permanent for €16m should he make 10 appearances for them and the Spanish side avoid relegation.

West Ham were reportedly due to pay Juventus £20m if he had made three more appearances for the London club. However, the Hammers would be delighted that Juventus have finally reached an agreement with another club and would be more than happy to move on.

The 25-year-old failed to find the back of the net in any of the 11 appearances for the Premier League side, and would now be hoping to revive his career in Spain.
