Another day, another wait for the completion of Nikola Milenkovic’s transfer from Fiorentina to West Ham.

However, the general consensus in Italy is that it will get done, and all that’s left are the details.

This has been the case for the past few days, but it’s sometimes the last few tidbits that are the most frustrating to sort out, and Corriere Fiorentino feels the sale for ‘€16m + bonuses is now a matter of hours’.

Why has it taken so long, though? The director of TMW Radio, Niccolò Ceccarini, speaking to Firenze Viola has the answers, or at least the information he has been given on the matter, which he kindly shared for the world on Wednesday.

He said: “The agreement between Fiorentina and West Ham is there. They have already found it, but now we will have to manage the discussions relating to the commissions and intermediaries of the operation, which is the last knot to be resolved. The deal should be resolved, on the basis of €17-18m.

“There are continuous contacts between the two clubs, who have sorted everything out, and the player has already given his yes to the London club”.

Down the other end, it’s Matija Nastasic, currently at Schalke 04, who is waiting on the green light of Milenkovic’s sale to himself travel to Fiorentina to escape 2.Bundesliga football following his team’s relegation from Germany’s top-tier last season.
