According to a claim in the Italian media, West Ham United have been told by Genoa that Diego Laxalt will cost them €20m.
Earlier today we covered claims from Italy that Everton are preparing an offer for the Uruguay international.
TMW report in the past few hours West Ham have made an approach for Laxalt and have been told they need to pay Genoa’s valuation of the South American. West Ham have been very active in this transfer window and have already brought in Felipe Anderson from Serie A side Lazio.
The Hammers could face competition from fellow Premier League side Everton, who are reported to lining up a €12m bid for the player.
However, it seems from these latest claims Everton may need to come in with a higher bid for the 25 year old.
The left sided player presented his country at this summer’s World Cup, but was mainly used as a full back.
Laxalt is contracted to Genoa until June 2022.
