Two days ago, Fichajes.net reported West Ham United have Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, also known as Bono, on their agenda.
Alphonse Areola joined the Hammers in a permanent deal in the summer and has not managed get ahead of 37-year-old Łukasz Fabiański. The latter’s deal expires in 2023.
Earlier on Friday, La Razón explained that Areola has not convinced Moyes and this has seen West Ham set their sights on Bono. The La Liga man has a €50m release clause.
It was also stated Sevilla are willing to lower the price as long as the Premier League side make an attractive offer for the Morocco international.
The newspaper then provide their own info about this case. It’s said the Premier League side, through certain intermediaries, usually study making offers for Sevilla players. The last player they made a proposal was Youssef En-Nesyri.
West Ham ‘think’ of Bono either for January or next summer, likely to replace Fabiański.
Sevilla have seen some of their stars leave in the summer and therefore will not consider the Moroccan’s sale in the winter market.
Their position could change for next summer as the report states it would be ‘feasible’ for West Ham or another club to sign Bono after this season and the player would also be open to taking the next step in his career.
