West Ham are one of a handful of clubs to be linked with a move for Edin Dzeko over the past week or so.
The former Manchester City striker said in an interview that he wouldn’t rule out a return to English and that started half the Premier League being linked with a move for him.
Given how many clubs have been linked it would be assumed a lot of what is published is pretty baseless, but TMW are pushing West Ham forward as the main one.
In a Thursday article which doesn’t mention any of the others linked, TMW say the Hammers have been ‘testing’ their efforts to sign the player, they’re putting their toe into the transfer waters.
However, a proposed West Ham offer of €20m is mentioned and it’s thought that’s ‘perhaps a bit low’ to please AS Roma.
Chelsea were interested in the 32 year old during the January transfer window, but Dzeko didn’t seem to be especially keen on the move.
Unless a Champions League club come in, or if there’s someone prepared to offer a contract taking him into his mid thirties, it’s questionable whether Dzeko will really be keen on a move if Roma are content for him to stay.
