This week, several reports from the Italian and the Portuguese media have linked Braga star Simon Banza to West Ham United.

It was reported that the 27-year-old is wanted by the Hammers and a couple of Italian clubs, following the very good season he’s had.

Now as Correio da Manhã today features a short story about Braga’s match against Porto tomorrow, it’s said that could be Banza’s final game for the club.

It’s reported that the West Ham target is ‘probably’ having his farewell, as ‘everything indicates’ he’ll get sold in the summer.

Braga are expected to make the ‘best possible business’ with Banza. He’s protected by a €40m release clause, and even though they had been demanding €35m in the winter market, they’re now accepting a minimum of €25m.

The big reason for it is the need for money given their lack of Champions League football next season.

The striker has 23 goals and five assists in 40 appearances for his club in 2023/24, and could still score in this big farewell match against Porto.

This time, West Ham or other interested parties are not mentioned in the story.
