According to DHA, Fenerbahce defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim wants to remain with the Turkish club and he’s looking to extend his contract beyond June 2020.

In recent weeks we’ve covered reports from Turkey that West Ham United are looking to sign the player and were hoping to seal a deal for the left back this week.

It was reported the player was also keen to play in the Premier League at this stage of his career.

However, it’s claimed Kaldirim has told his close friends he belongs to Fenerbahce and he’s not considering a move this summer. He’s reportedly said he wants to stay with the Super Lig club as he plans to win more titles with them.

This could come as a blow to West Ham following reports they were ready to activate his buyout clause, said to be €5m.

The London club were expected to finalise a deal for Kaldirim after the international break, but it seems there’s a new twist in West Ham’s pursuit of the defender.

Maybe this is related to personal terms, time will tell.
