Earlier today, Il Mattino reported West Ham United and Eintracht Frankfurt are both keen on signing Salernitana’s Boulaye Dia in the winter market.
It was also stated West Ham are ready to shell out €16m on the striker, who has been linked with a move away from the Serie A side in recent weeks.
As well as the Hammers, other clubs are showing interest in him. This includes AC Milan, and Calciomercato.it explain their plan to sign the West Ham target.
It’s said the 27-year-old is ‘destined to leave’ this month and the Italian club are willing to part ways with him only through a permanent sale.
The Senegal international is expected to join the national team squad for AFCON in the next few days. Meanwhile, his entourage is working behind the scenes, to find the best possible solution.
Calciomercato.it state that in the last few hours, Milan have come forward with an offer of a player plus €15m for Dia. They add that the Rossoneri would have offered Luka Romero and Mattia Caldara, whose profiles aren’t appreciated by Salernitana.
Therefore, Salernitana have rejected Milan’s proposal, giving hope to West Ham to sign Dia in January.
David Moyes’ side would have to act quickly and make a convincing offer, if they wish to bring the frontman to London.
