If Marca are to be believed, Joan Jordan is a much wanted footballer.

The 24 year old midfielder currently plays for SD Eibar, where he has a contract lasting until June 2020. Last season he made 38 appearances in midfield, scoring four goals and adding the same number of assists.

Sevilla are working to sign him, and Marca present West Ham United as serious competition. The Hammers are said to have ‘submitted a proposal’, whilst Arsenal have made contact to learn the conditions to sign the player.

It’s not just West Ham and Arsenal who could prove a problem for Sevilla, with Valencia, Villarreal, and other unnamed English clubs also said to be keen.

Jordan has a €15m buyout clause but Eibar, who are keen on a sale, would accept less than that. Not by too much, they want to at least get double figures, so a minimum of €10m.

The player’s former club Espanyol are entitled to 20% of a transfer fee.
