It’s interesting how Manchester City have simply been forgotten in the race for Sporting youngster Tiago Djaló.

Last week, it had been reported that Pep Guardiola’s side made a pretty good personal terms offer for the defender, whose contract with the Lions is expiring at the end of the season.

West Ham had also been pointed out as an interested side, and continue to be mentioned in today’s story from Record about the player.

It’s being claimed that Milan are now the club who are closest to signing him, and Manchester City are completely ignored by the report. Only West Ham, Lazio and Lille are the other sides who get a mention.

Record writes that a deal with Milan hasn’t been closed yet, but there could be news in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Sporting continue to try to extend the defender’s deal, but are unlikely to have any success.
