Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang had a slow start to season at West Ham, but poor results meant he was brought back into the starting XI by Slaven Bilic.

The 24-year-old signed for West Ham from Sampdoria last summer in a €6m deal, but latest reports in Italy suggest he could be on his way back to Serie A in January.

AS Roma are reportedly keen on signing a midfielder during the January transfer window, and Obiang is believed to be a target, reports Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday.

It’s not stated if it’s believed Obiang would be interested in returning to Italy, and a lot would be dependent on how things turn out between now and January. However, this story has been growing over the past couple of days in Italy and Roma may well test the water.
