As was reported late last week, Napoli are taking an interest in West Ham’s Felipe Anderson.
The news started in Corriere dello Sport, who explained the Serie A side are looking to bolster their wings, and the Brazilian was being looked at, although they knew it would be hard for them to prise him away from London Stadium.
As we all know, Anderson is one of the bigger stars at West Ham, and having paid over £30m to acquire him in the first place, it’s no surprise to see the Hammers ask for a rather hefty price if they were to let him go.
Corriere on Wednesday state the former Lazio star is Napoli’s ‘golden dream’, and the Premier League club are asking for ‘near €50m’ for their winger.
The 27-year-old is currently in his second season at London Stadium, and while he settled in nicely last year, he has found the 2019-20 season a bit more challenging, scoring just one goal in 24 appearances this season, albeit assisting another five.
Not the best form, but that might have to do with the type of football being played under David Moyes more than anything else.
We’ll have to wait and see what comes of this, but, for now, it seems more of a hopeful wish than anything else.
