After trying to force his way out to West Ham United, Moussa Marega has now returned to training at FC Porto.

As reported by newspaper O Jogo today, the striker is working separately from the squad, but just by going back to the club, he shows he could stay for the season.

The outlet doesn’t believe that West Ham are paying the €40m demanded for the player, and the transfer is said to be more unlikely with each hour that passes.

With the Hammers being heavily linked to the likes of Lucas Perez, the Portuguese media also believes that they’re giving up on Marega already.

Newspaper Correio da Manhã comes up claiming that Porto have made an offer to triple Marega’s salary, and decrease his release clause from €40m to €30m.

What motivated him to reject it was exactly the interest from West Ham, which may end up not taking him anywhere in the end.
