Earlier we covered claims from Italy that Pedro Obiang was on the verge of leaving West Ham United, and that he would be either heading to either Fiorentina, AS Roma or Sampdoria.
His agent was just waiting to inform his client where he destination would be, and it now seems he will be heading to the Italian capital if he gets his desired move back to Serie A
TMW have reported in the last hour Roma are still waiting to offload William Vainqueur, to Ligue 1 side Marseille, which will then mean the Serie A side need to bring in a replacement.
TMW have revealed Obiang is one of the midfielders they would like to bring to replace the Frenchman, along with Genoa’s Tomas Rincon. The next few hours are going to be decisive for the future of Obiang as his agent continues to speak to Roma.
Obiang signed for West Ham in the last summer transfer window from Sampdoria, but started just 11 games in the Premier League in his debut season in England.
He’s struggled to make an impact since arriving in England, which has led to speculation throughout the summer he would return to Italy.
