Fancy some winter sun? Glorious sunshine is forecast tomorrow in Las Palmas with a maximum of 23c and a minimum of 17c.

That could be just one attraction for West Ham’s Jonathan Calleri, as the 23 year old looks for a new club. West Ham didn’t really have Calleri high on their list during the summer transfer, but having tried to sign half the strikers in Europe, the Argentine owned by a Uruguayan holding club became an option.

Calleri didn’t want to join West Ham either, as Sport Witness revealed in November, and has been keen to look for an exit route for the past few months.

Marca and others report that Calleri could be arriving at Las Palmas on loan. That would involve him terminating his loan deal with West Ham, and then Maldonado negotiating a new money generating deal with Las Palmas.

The Gran Canaria club are currently tenth in La Liga with a real feel good mood around the club… it certainly seems an attractive option.
