The transfer window for Premier League clubs may have slammed shut, but that doesn’t mean others from around Europe can’t swoop on players at English clubs.

This keeps Reece Oxford as an option for Hannover 96, and he’s one of three main contenders the Bundesliga club are said to be looking at.

West Ham’s young defender joins Papy Djilobodji and Jan Bednarek on the wanted list, as understood by Kicker.

Oxford spent the first half of last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, before West Ham brought him back during the winter window. The plan looked to be pushing Gladbach into a permanent transfer at whatever price the Hammers thought they could push things up to.

It didn’t work and the defender ended up returning to the same German club for the second half of the season.

He doesn’t appear to be in the key plans of Manuel Pellegrini so another loan makes sense if West Ham again struggle to find a permanent transfer for the player. Hannover are looking at the situation, but Gladbach seem to be out of the picture.
