According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Ham United are leading the way to sign Galatasaray attacker Wilfried Zaza.
The Ivory Coast international only joined the Turkish champions last summer on a free transfer after his contract expired with Crystal Palace.
Sporx today report Galatasaray are looking to offload Zaza this summer after failing to convince in his debut season in Istanbul. The winger struggled to get games in the title run in, and along with Tete he’s expected to be sold. There are reports of tensions between him and Cimbom’s manager Okan Buruk.
It’s claimed West Ham are the most serious buyer to sign Zaza in the next transfer window and that Gala are looking to get €10m for him.
The Hammers have been repeatedly linked with the player in recent weeks as they look to strengthen in attack for next season. There are reports West Ham could face competition from Saudi Arabian and Russian clubs.
Zaza made 42 appearances for the Istanbul side last season, scoring 10 goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2026.
