With Ryan Fredericks, Ben Johnson and Vladimir Coufal at the club, the need for a right-back at West Ham United these days isn’t the greatest.
Admittedly, the first on that list is out of contract at the end of the season, but even with the latter two, it’s a position that doesn’t necessarily need to be addressed urgently by the Hammers.
That being said, if rumours from Italy are to be believed, then there is a player David Moyes is particularly keen on, and that’s Wilfried Singo.
The Torino right-back has attracted a lot of attention this season with his performances, and multiple clubs in the Premier League, including West Ham, have taken note.
Gazzetta dello Sport have an article on the matter, explaining that ‘numerous English observers’, before naming the Hammers as one of clubs, have been present to watch the Ivory Coast international.
As for the cost of any transfer, it’s said that Torino aren’t looking to sell, ‘but in the face of an adequate offer for the club’, which the newspaper suggest would be ‘about €30m’, the ‘parties will talk about it in peace’.
Realistically, West Ham have more urgent matters to address and spend that kind of money on these days, like getting a new striker in.
