There’s a claim in the Turkish media that West Ham United will be in attendance for this weekend’s Istanbul derby between Besiktas and Galatasaray.
The Hammers are already looking ahead to next season and will use Saturday’s game as an opportunity to scout two of their reported summer targets.
Yenicag Gazetesi have reported on West Ham’s plan to send officials to the Tüpraş Stadyumu as they look to get a lowdown on Galatasaray’s Barış Alper Yılmaz and Besiktas’ Semih Kılıçsoy.
Both Turkey internationals have been linked with moves to the Premier League side. Especially Yılmaz, who has been on their radar since last summer.
It’s claimed the scouting report will be decisive for whether West Ham are to pursue the players during the next transfer window, but they should expect to face Premier League competition if they do.
According to the Turkish media outlet, Nottingham Forest are still monitoring the situation with Yılmaz, whilst Aston Villa are showing keen interest in Kılıçsoy.
In recent months there have been reports both players are expected to leave their clubs this summer, with moves to England looking likely.
