West Ham United are back in the picture to sign Fluminense’s Jhon Arias.
The Premier League side made an approach to sign the forward in the summer window, but no deal took shape.
That’s at least what RTI Esporte are reporting, and they add West Ham have rekindled their interest in the 27-year-old.
It’s claimed the Hammers ‘resume talks’ with the player’s representatives over a possible move to London, possibly in January.
Julen Lopetegui’s side didn’t do enough to sign the Colombia international in the last window. They have now made new contacts to try and secure his services.
West Ham haven’t yet made any approach with to Brazilian club. The attacker has a contract lasting until June 2026.
It’s claimed Fluminense’s board believe it’s ‘inevitable’ he’ll leave the club. There’s no mention of their demands to sanction Arias’ sale.
As well as West Ham, un unnamed French club have shown interest in the player. At this moment in time, they haven’t made any concrete moves to acquire Arias’ signature. RTI Esporte make it clear Lyon aren’t the Ligue 1 side.
