The Jean-Clair Todibo saga involving Juventus keeps prolonging with every passing day and while the common belief seems to be that he will join the Bianconeri, West Ham continue being mentioned.

Even today, Corriere dello Sport carry a mention of keen interest from West Ham, who can still potentially pose a threat to the Frenchman’s move to Juve.

The report states that while Todibo is ready to join Juve as soon as he can, the Old Lady haven’t fully closed the deal. A meeting took place between Nice and Juve yesterday and there is a possibility of the deal closing this week.

Nice recently rejected an initial loan deal with an option to buy at €30m from the Bianconeri. West Ham, in the meantime, would be ‘ready to buy outright’ and sign Todibo permanently right away instead of relying on an initial loan.

That deal would be favourable to Nice, who could yet agree a deal with Juve. Again, it seems rather apparent that the player’s wish is to join Juventus and that is letting the Hammers down in the situation.

At least it’s making the Turin club pay market value for a player.
