Takvim claim West Ham United are set to make an improved offer to sign Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel.
The Chilean midfielder has been linked with a move to Hammers in recent weeks and Takvim say West Ham are looking to increase their bid for the former Cardiff City player.
Last month there were reports the Premier League side had opened talks with the Super Lig club after travelling to Turkey.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Besiktas are not prepared to let Medel leave on the cheap, and are looking to get at least €8m from the sale of 31 year old. Previous reports in Turkey suggested the figure was closer to €10m.
It’s reported Besiktas manager Senol Gunes sees Medel as an integral part of his plans but the Turkish club’s board will reluctantly accept an offer if West Ham meet their valuation.
The Istanbul club are currently experiencing financial problems and need to bring in revenue to pay salaries.
Medel is under contract at Besiktas until June 2020.
