West Ham United are ‘ready to step in’ and sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, with his contract set to expire in 2023.
That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, citing Radiosei, who say the Hammers are one of several clubs looking at the Serbian as he gears up to leave the Bundesliga side.
As stated, his contract is set to expire next summer, and that means Frankfurt have to either get him signed to a new deal or risk losing him on a free next year.
They’ll naturally want to avoid the latter from happening, and so, with him yet to sign a new deal, they are gearing up for a sale.
There are suitors all over Europe, with Lazio, who are old admirers, Roma, Fiorentina and Inter all ‘interested’ in the 29-year-old.
West Ham are also thrown in the mix, with it stated they are one of several other sides who are ‘all ready to step in’ and get their man.
What figure West Ham would have to pay for Kostic isn’t mentioned, nor is whether he would be interested in a move to the London Stadium, just that they are one of the clubs eyeing up a move for him in the summer, should he be leaving Frankfurt.
