West Ham United may have been presented with the opportunity to sign Sevilla duo Lucas Ocampos and Youssef En Nesyri this summer.
That’s according to Marca, who explain that both players are very much on the sales list at the Spanish club in this window.
The newspaper explains that after selling Diego Carlos, and with a departure for Jules Koundé in the offing, Ocampos and En Nesyri are the next big saleable assets as far as Sevilla are concerned.
That should come as interesting news to West Ham, who have been linked with both players in this window and previously.
The Hammers spent both the January transfer window and the last summer window trying to sign En Nesyri, while it has been reported they’re keen on Ocampos this year as well.
In terms of the Argentine, Sevilla and the player would ‘have no qualms’ about parting ways so long as an offer that convinces both arrives.
The forward knows that he is losing his status under Julen Lopetegui, and the arrival of another winger will only worsen his situation. Thus, he is available for €25m.
That’s the same value that’s been put on En Nesyri. West Ham offered close to €40m for him last year, but he endured a difficult campaign and that has seen that drop significantly as a result.
Despite that, he ‘still has a good reputation’ in England, and Sevilla are not ruling out new attempts to sign him before the end of the window.
They need a sale to raise funds, but if West Ham remain keen, they will have to work on convincing the player, who isn’t bothered by the finances but would need Sevilla to make it clear they no longer want him.
That is yet to happen, but they are open to a sale and could potentially push for it if the right money were to be offered.
That’s up to West Ham, who, for €50m, have the potential to sign two players and bolster Moyes’ squad considerably this summer.
