Felipe Anderson scored an absolute cracker for West Ham at the weekend to seal victory over Crystal Palace in an exciting 3-2 encounter.

After Roy Hodgson’s side took the lead early on, the Hammers responded with three goals from Robert Snodgrass, Javier Hernandez and Anderson, Jeffrey Schlupp’s response made for a tense end to the game.

Anderson’s goal was his sixth in 16 Premier League games this season, and his big money transfer from Lazio is working out rather well.

The Brazilian had been constantly linked with a move to English football, repeatedly said to be of interest to Manchester United, and finally made the move as part of West Ham’s ambitious summer spending.

Anderson has now scored five times in his last six Premier League matches, and his latest effort has been enough for him to get in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week.

Each Monday the Italian newspaper pick out a selection of the best performers from around Europe, excluding Serie A, and the 25 year old finds himself in a team which also includes Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.
