West Ham player ‘big favourite’ for another club, wanted him since beginning of January

On January 7th, we covered claims from Spain that Lucas Perez of West Ham United is a ‘favourite’ target for Real Betis in the winter market.

The La Liga outfit have added Jese to their squad as he arrived at the club from Paris Saint-Germain, and Quique Setién has already admitted that he wants Betis to bring in another attacker before the window closes today.

Thursday’s edition of AS once again mentions the former Arsenal man has been a target for the Spanish club since the beginning of this month and is the ‘big favourite’ for Betis on deadline day of the mid-season transfer window.

It’s claimed that Perez is the ‘clearest candidate’ to arrive at Betis as the report explains the he has become the favourite to be their last minute striker. 

Another Spanish outlet El Desmarque reports that Perez has offers from Italy, France, Germany and other clubs from Spain, but his desire is to join Betis, with whom he already agreed personal terms several weeks ago.
