West Ham officials were sent to Porto’s disappointing away draw against Belenenses last night, according to A Bola.
The obvious guess is that the Hammers could be watching Laurent Depoitre. The striker was heavily linked to the club during the summer, but ended up joining Porto on a €6m deal.
Depoitre didn’t do very well yesterday, having been brought off after 61 minutes. Fans haven’t been having much patience with him as he only scored two goals in ten appearances this season.
Truth is that no Porto players had a very good match. Portuguese newspaper O Jogo says that Felipe, Marcano, André André, Brahimi and Rui Pedro were the only who had a decent perfromance.
Belenenses goalkeeper Hugo Ventura was picked as the man of the match, after stopping his former club Porto from opening the score.
Scouts from Manchester United, Braga, Celta de Vigo, Sporting Gijón and Zimbru also attended the league match.
