West Ham have been repeatedly linked with a move for Vincent Aboubakar, the FC Porto striker. Very much available for transfer, Aboubakar wasn’t included in the club’s Champions League squad.
Porto manager Nuno Espírito Santo said that was simply down to technical choices, but almost nobody believed him, and Aboubakar has been most strongly linked with Besiktas and West Ham.
The Premier League club had an official at the match between FC Porto and AS Roma on Wednesday night, and obviously the striker wasn’t playing.
West Ham aren’t one of the English clubs who scout the most in Portugal so there may be something specific on the agenda. For the home team, 20 year old Andre Silva scored and he was Porto’s best performer.
Edin Dzeko played for AS Roma, and he too has been sporadically linked with West Ham over the years.
Perhaps the Hammers official was on the official visiting list, as published by A Bola on Thursday, because he was at the club on other business.
