Following all the reports about West Ham United’s strong pursuit for Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, it now seems the Hammers have started talks for other targets from Serie A.
According to a fresh report from TuttoMercatoWeb, the London side ‘are in negotiations for the purchase’ of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
The report doesn’t say how much West Ham are offering for the 28-year-old, but makes something very clear: the Italian club will only let him go ‘for a very important offer’, which would be of over €45m.
TuttoMercatoWeb still points out Zielinski isn’t the only target the Hammers have at Napoli, because as recently reported, the club also made an approach for Hirving Lozano, which wasn’t successful due to the winger’s big salary, and that ‘slowed down the negotiation’.
Now the outlet claims this ‘the situation is different’ with Zielinski, probably speaking of his salary as well.
They claim the Polish player ‘could be the attacking midfielder asked by David Moyes’, sounding confident that West Ham could end up reaching a deal with Napoli for the move.
