Sdna.Gr report Olympiacos are facing difficulties extending Kostas Fortounis’ contract beyond June 2020.
The 26-year old, who has recently been linked with a move to West Ham United, was said to be on the verge of agreeing a new three-year contract with the Greek giants but Sdna report a deal isn’t straightforward.
It’s claimed West Ham have offered €10m for the Greek playmaker but Olympiacos informed the Premier League side they will only enter into transfer talks for bids above €15m.
Fortounis and Olympiacos have reportedly held contract talks in the last two months and they’ve yet to agree on a new deal for the player.
It’s reported it’s still likely the 26 year old will remain in Athens but there’s a small possibility he could leave the club before the start of the new season.
West Ham could face competition form Premier League new boys Norwich City after they were linked with the Greek international last month.
Fortounis was in impressive form for his club last season with his side coming second to PAOK in the Greek Super League, scoring 12 goals.
