West Ham will need to put up a fight if they want to secure the signing of Jakub Kiwior.

The Hammers already made an offer for the player in August, only to see that rejected by Spezia Calcio. Putting forward €12m for the defender, it was said the Premier League club had been rejected, with Spezia wanting to keep hold of the player for the current season.

They were open to a deal, but a club would have had to agree to loan Kiwior back to Spezia, and David Moyes’ side didn’t seem keen on that scenario. There was later talk of AC Milan agreeing a deal worth around €18m, including the loan, but that slipped away.

Calciomercato now report on the big competition for the signing, with West Ham again getting a mention. It’s insisted the interest from England remains, and the Rossoneri also remain in the picture.

In addition to the Hammers and AC Milan, Barcelona, AS Roma and Juventus are all said to be keen. Whilst interest from the Catalan side may be overstated, and isn’t really being covered in their local media, it seems clear West Ham will face a fight with multiple Serie A sides for the Polish defender.
