The Portuguese media is now sounding more certain that West Ham loanee Felipe Anderson should stay at Porto until at least the end of the season.
A few weeks ago, several reports had been claiming the midfielder would move out in January after failing to impress for the Dragons.
These rumours, however, slowly disappeared, and his recovery at the Portuguese side is now highlighted by newspaper O Jogo today.
They take all the stats to show he’s doing a lot better than in his first weeks at the club, and claim that ‘the scenario changed’, meaning that his departure ‘doesn’t make sense’ anymore.
This isn’t something that only O Jogo is saying. As the Italian media reported yesterday that Fiorentina are also in for Felipe Anderson, newspaper Record responds to the rumour today claiming that the player is ‘firm’ in Porto’s squad.
This is probably good news for West Ham, who want the player valued before they get a good deal for his sale, or perhaps even get him back in good form to use him again in the future.
