West Ham are reportedly still considering a final bid for Sporting midfielder William Carvalho.

Portuguese outlet Record comes up with a story this afternoon saying the Hammers are thinking about a new attempt for the player, who is Slaven Bilic’s priority. The deliberation would be happening ‘at this very moment’.

The story is only on their website, and not in the paper edition, so it’s a development during the day.

West Ham know how much Sporting want for the transfer, which is €35m upfront. And the outlet claims this amount ‘could’ arrive at Alvalade, even after West Ham are said to have given up on the player.

It’s claimed that since William Carvalho is currently with the Portuguese squad, West Ham and Sporting would have to find a deal, and then ask for permission so the player can finalise the move, suggesting some kind of extension.
