West Ham United continue to try and find a defender for David Moyes, who saw his big signing Nayef Aguerd injured during pre-season.

They have turned their attention to Ligue 1 once again, as Paris Saint-Germain’s Thilo Kehrer is their new target to bolster the Hammers’ defence.

Capable of playing either as a right-back or in the heart of the defence, the German defender has been the subject of two offers from West Ham to date, but L’Equipe on Friday explain neither of those have ‘matched the Parisian demands’.

However, there’s little to worry about, as the newspaper explain that, per English sources of theirs, ‘that shouldn’t be a problem’.

The main worry for West Ham in all this is the player himself, as the ‘unknown’ comes from his end.

The big question is whether he will accept to move to the Premier League, as ‘his decision has yet to be communicated’.

Therefore, West Ham need to either be a bit more patient, a bit more convincing or both.
