West Ham United full-back Arthur Masuaku has been offered to French sides Lyon and Marseille.

Masuaku has been in and out of the Hammers starting line up this season, with just six starts in the league so far.

It seems he’s not happy with the situation, either, with journalist Abdellah Boulma claiming that Classico Sports have a ‘mandate’ to find him a move.

That’s seen him offered to both Lyon and Marseille, with the latter particularly keen as they are looking for an alternative to Jordan Amavi in the position.

This claim has been picked up by Le 10 Sport, who back up the claim that Marseille are on the hunt for a replacement for Amavi.

They say that has led the club to look at alternatives and West Ham’s Masuaku is a player that ‘would not leave Marseille leaders indifferent’.

They did not ‘reject’ the idea of a move, and he is a player that the club are studying ahead of a potential move next summer, with it expected January will be ‘relatively calm’ for them.

RMC journalist Loïc Tanzi has questioned the initial claim from Boulma, though, asking why Classico Sports would be pushing Masuaku to Marseille as Amavi’s replacement when they also happen to represent Amavi as well.

His suggestion seems to be that is not something they would do, meaning this may be one to keep an eye on rather than take as fact at this point.
