West Ham United’s Arthur Masuaku has been on loan at Beşiktaş since last summer. They have an option to buy him for €2.2m, which will automatically become a permanent move if he makes 25 appearances.

Having struggled to impress in the first half of the season, the 29-year-old was able to turn things around in recent weeks.

This has convinced Beşiktaş to buy the West Ham owned player, which has been regularly mentioned in Turkey over the past few days.

The left-back has featured 23 times, where he has played less than 45 minutes only on one occasion. According to Sabah, he has to be on the pitch for more than 45 minutes in three more matches for his stay to be made permanent in Istanbul.

Due to his recent impressive displays, the DR Congo international has ‘largely guaranteed his future’ at Beşiktaş. They will knock on West Ham’s door to have a revised agreement.

It’s said the Black Eagles would offer the Hammers €1.2m instead of €2.2m, which was agreed upon last summer. Meanwhile, Beşiktaş will hold talks with Masuaku to change the contract length from three to two years, worth €1.3m per season.

Sabah state West Ham were ‘positive’ during the first meeting. Either way, Masuaku’s future is likely to be away from the Hammers.
