Bein Sports Turkey claim West Ham United have made an official bid with Besiktas to sign their central defender Domagoj Vida.

The Croatia international has been linked with a move to West Ham in the past week following claims the Hammers were lining up an offer for the 29 year old.

It’s been reported that West Ham have offered €22m to Besiktas for the signature of Vida, and the Turkish club’s president Fikret Orman is now flying to England to finalise a possible deal, as reported yesterday in the Turkish press.

According to Bein Sports Turkey, after these talks it’s expected Vida will leave the club, but Orman is still looking to negotiate the transfer fee with West Ham for the former Dynamo Kiev player.

Vida impressed in this summer’s World Cup in Russia and was a key factor in his country getting to the final of the competition.

Besiktas stand to make a hefty profit on the player after signing him on a free transfer in January.
