On Friday, Sportitalia reported that West Ham United made an approach to sign FC Nantes’ Nathan Zézé.

This report surfaced a day before West Ham completed the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo on loan with a buying obligation from OGC Nice.

The former Barcelona centre-back’s arrival apparently hasn’t stopped the London club from making an approach for another defender.

That’s according to a fresh report from Sportitalia, who say the Hammers and Inter Milan are fighting for Zézé’s signature this summer.

Both Julen Lopetegui’s side and the Italian champions have tabled offers to sign the 19-year-old.

West Ham’s bid is around €20m, €5m more than what was proposed by the Serie A side, and the report says the two offers were rejected as they didn’t meet the €30m asking price.

Back in March, the Frenchman signed a new contract until 2028, and his side aren’t willing to lower their request, mainly because several Premier League sides have shown interest in the player.

West Ham are the only English club mentioned and they have made a ‘concrete move’. If the Hammers want to sign Zézé, they have to raise their offer by at least €10m.
