FC Midtjylland’s Emiliano Martínez has ended up on the agenda of West Ham United and Luton Town, according to Tipsbladet.
The defensive midfielder joined the Danish club from Red Bull Bragantino last summer and finished his debut season with a goal from 33 games, which included seven Europa League appearances.
His displays in Europe have caught the attention of several clubs, including West Ham and Luton Town.
It’s claimed both David Moyes’ side and the newly promoted Premier League side have asked Midtjylland the conditions needed to carry out his transfer.
The Uruguay international’s deal lasts until 2027 and Midtjylland, for their part, don’t intend to sell him. If the Danish club were to consider his sale, Tipsbladet state they would need around DKK 75m [€10m] plus bonuses.
Should West Ham, Luton Town or another club table an offer in this region late in the window, the outlet feels Midtjylland will be ‘compelled to say yes’ and sell the player.
Back in June, Uruguayan journalist Rodri Vázquez said Martínez had an offer from Everton and it’s ‘almost a fact’ that he’ll leave Midtjylland this summer.
