Now that Napoli have made the big decision of lumping on Leonardo Pavoletti rather than Simone Zaza, a door has opened for Valencia to try and bring the Juventus loanee to Spain, which we covered this morning.
The West Ham striker (which he is for now) hasn’t scored a goal in 11 appearances for the Hammers, and with Andy Carroll returning from injury, is unlikely to get a chance to extend his goalless run.
Slaven Bilic’s trust in the Italian has clearly disappeared, and it would appear that a decision has been made within the London club to not take the loan any further than January, at least according to ‘agent’ Vincenzo Morabito.
We put agent in inverted commas because he’s really just an intermediary who puts people in touch with each other, but is often labeled as an agent.
Speaking to JuveNews.eu in Italy, Morabito said: “Zaza will definitely return to Juventus. West Ham don’t want to keep him. He could stay there, seeing that Juventus could use another striker. Otherwise, there’s a couple of options. He earns too much for Lazio. I repeat, he will definitely return to Juve.”
Considering the last story we covered from Vincenzo Morabito was him telling a Napoli website that Arsenal had made a €90m bid for Aubameyang, the choice to believe him is entirely yours.
We, for one, are skeptical, but as things stand, claiming that Zaza will return to Juventus because West Ham don’t want him anymore is anything but a long shot.
It’s basically common sense.
