Missing a large chunk of the season so far due to a shinbone injury, Lyon’s Clément Grenier, even when fit, hasn’t been the key player many expected him to be for the Ligue 1 side this season.
Seemingly preferring Sergi Darder or Corentin Tolisso instead, Bruno Génésio’s reluctance to play the 25-year-old midfielder has caused transfer rumours to emerge, with West Ham among the clubs interested in the France international.
According to Canal+ on Twitter via their sport account Infosport+, Slaven Bilic’s side, as well as AS Roma and Fiorentina, are all keen on Grenier’s services.

The most likely scenario for all involved would be a loan with a view to buy, considering few clubs would be willing to spend large amounts midway through the season, yet a full transfer isn’t discarded.
Grenier has, in the past, been linked with moves to some of the biggest clubs in England, including Arsenal, yet a series of injuries has seen the hype around him tumble a bit.
Still a very talented footballer, he just needs regular football, and if he isn’t going to get it under Bruno Génésio, why not get it at the London stadium with Slaven Bilic and Dimitri Payet?
