Benoît Badiashile made his first team debut for AS Monaco in February 2018 and since then, he has made 82 appearances in the league.
Foot Mercato now state that for many years, the defender has been ‘tracked, particularly in England’ and West Ham United are among the clubs, keeping tabs on the 20-year-old.
According to the report, the Hammers are ‘very interested’ in the France U21 international, who has a contract with Ligue 1 side until 2024.
It’s claimed David Moyes’ side have ‘contacted the player’s entourage’ and also Philippe Clement’s side, to know the conditions to carry out the centre-back’s signing in the future.
The website even suggests the leaders of the Premier League side could take action in the winter market, to take Badiashile away from Stade Louis II. However, there is no mention if either the Frenchman or Monaco are willing to part ways in the January window.
Badiashile has made 19 appearances this season, which includes eight league starts as a hamstring injury forced him to miss four Ligue 1 matches between November and December.
