On Wednesday, we covered a claim from German newspaper Bild that West Ham and Swansea City are interested in Sandro Wagner. The 30 year old forward is having a good season for Hoffenheim, with 12 goals and 2 assists on the charts so far.
Fitting perfectly in, this week’s edition of German magazine Kicker also claims the West Ham and Swansea interest, saying both clubs are ‘concrete’ with their intentions over the player.
Hoffenheim don’t want to sell, and have made that publicly clear this week, even throwing out silly figures like €50m, but Kicker seem impressed that Wagner could fetch double digit millions. So around €10m.
That would be a reasonable fee for either West Ham or Swansea to sign the player this summer, and, as Kicker point out, Wagner isn’t going to get a lot more chances to move to another league. Having already turned down advances from China, it’s assumed Wagner would be much more tempted by the Premier League.
