West Ham have been repeatedly linked with a move for Joao Mario over the past week.
At first the Portuguese international was said to be rather lukewarm about a move to the Premier League club, but the reporting of the situation changed as the week went on.
In their Sunday edition, Gazzetta dello Sport take a look at potential Inter Milan transfers for the rest of January, and Joao Mario comes into it. There’s just a solitary sentence on the player’s potential move to West Ham, but it’s a meaningful one.
Gazzetta state West Ham ‘insist’ on the transfer, which would suggest they’re making every effort to get the Inter player signed for David Moyes.
FC Inter News throw a dampener on things by saying, according to their own information, that Joao Mario doesn’t want to sign for West Ham… so it’s right back to the start of story.
The player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is now working to ‘find a club which meets the demands’ of Joao Mario.
It could all change again, depending on just how much West Ham insist, and what other interest shows up for the player.
