West Ham United are negotiating to sign Brøndby IF goalkeeping coach Casper Ankergren as the Danish side face a clear out of current players and staff.
West Ham United manager Graham Potter has worked with Kasper Ankergren before, during his three-year spell as manager of Brighton & Hove Albion.
Ankergren was given the responsibility to be a goalkeeping scout as well as being a coach during his spell under Potter.
It must be considered that Ankergren is a notable figure at Brøndby IF as he played for the Danish side from 2001 to 2007, with 123 appearances at the club.
The update on Ankergren’s future comes from Danish outlet Tipsbladet who also reported that West Ham had shown interest in the coach several days ago. Things have progressed and the move is now in the final negotiation stage.
There is an expectation that an agreement between the sides will be reached, although there is no knowledge on what that agreement figure will be.
Tipsbladet report Linus Kandolin, goalkeeping coach of Swedish side IF Elfsborg who is also set to join West Ham United, will be the assistant of Kapser Ankergren.
