Two days ago, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reported West Ham United have held concrete talks over signing Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.

The right-back hasn’t been a regular since joining the Bundesliga side on a free transfer in 2022.

Florian Plettenberg says Bayern are ‘more than willing’ to sell the 26-year-old for a fee of around €20m. He adds that West Ham want to sign Mazraoui, who is ‘keen to play’ in the Premier League.

Both Julen Lopetegui and West Ham director Tim Steidten are keen to secure the former Ajax man’s services this summer.

The Sky journalist states the Hammers have held ‘more talks’ with the Bavarian clubs in the ‘last hours’ over signing the Morocco international.

Bild are also stating that the Premier League side ‘actually want him’. They add that West Ham want to sign Mazraoui on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €20m, which could rise to €25m.

The German club are looking to raise funds through his exit, but it’s not clear whether they are open to sanctioning a loan move in this window.
