Pablo Fornals has been a regular figure for Villarreal this season in both La Liga and the Europa League.
On Saturday, it was mentioned in Cadena Ser’s Carrusel Deportivo program that the attacking midfielder has received proposals from Fulham and West Ham United as both clubs are willing to close his signing in January.
According to AS, the two Premier League clubs are willing to pay his €30m release clause, with an idea of including him in their squads from January 1st.
Unfortunately for the Cottagers and Manuel Pellegrini’s side, the 22-year-old has handed them a blow as he has ‘dismissed’ the offers from both because he is not ready to listen to them.
The reason? Simple. His side are 16th in the league table and he does not want to ‘abandon’ them half way through the season.
It comes as a welcome boost for Villarreal as the report mentions the offers he received are not from big clubs, so both Fulham and West Ham have failed to ‘seduce’ Fornals to join them in January.
If the claims are correct and €30m is waved around by West Ham and Fulham in January, stances may start to wobble.
