West Ham United and Sevilla are in a fight to sign Atletico Mineiro forward Lucas Pratto, according to claims in the Italian media. The former Genoa player could leave the Brazilian club in the next window, and both clubs are hopeful of landing him.
TMW have reported Pratto is keen to get a move back to Europe after his time in Serie A with Genoa. The Argentine spent a season with the Italian side before heading back to his home country in 2013.
Pratto has been playing in South America since then, but now wants to return to European football. Both West Ham and Sevilla are monitoring the situation with the 28-year-old, and could look to move in on the player next month.
West Ham are keen to bring in a forward in the next window with Simone Zaza set to return to his parent club Juventus. The Hammers have been linked with other strikers in recent weeks, and will need do their homework with Pratto following the signing of his compatriot Jonathan Calleri in the summer.
The Argentine forward joined West Ham from Boca Juniors, but has played just six league games since his arrival, scoring no goals.
