West Ham United, Southampton and Wolves have previously attempted to sign Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto.
The striker has three goals in nine Campeonato Paulista games this season, having scored a total of 60 goals in 158 appearances for Corinthians.
The information comes from Esportes R7, who have stated that all of West Ham, Southampton and Wolves came forward for the 23-year-old in the winter transfer window but they didn’t meet the Brazilian club’s asking price.
That has been fixed at €25m and the rejection hasn’t changed the player’s attitude towards Corinthians.
Whilst he’s not currently unhappy, Yuri Alberto has made it clear to his club that if an offer matching the price tag arrives, he would look to depart. His agent is currently in Europe and is attempting to help his client seal a move to Italy or England.
Inter Milan are an interested party and their manager Simone Inzaghi has requested the Nerazzurri to sign him.
It remains to be seen whether West Ham, Southampton and Wolves return to the fore for the player or not, but a move to England is still described as a possibility.
