West Ham United and Flamengo are reportedly taking the final steps for the transfer of Fabricio Bruno.

According to Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande, the clubs are exchanging documents to make the move official.

The report claims that West Ham are initially paying Flamengo €13.5m for Fabricio Bruno. That’s divided into three instalments: one once the contract is signed, another after 12 months, and the last one after 24 months.

There’s also €1.5m in bonuses, with the Hammers paying €750k each time the defender makes 30 appearances for them.

Flamengo have a Copa Libertadores match against Millonarios tonight, and even though some reports said that could be Fabricio Bruno’s farewell, it’s claimed by Casagrande that the player is not starting because of the transfer. It remains to be seen whether he’ll at least be on the bench.

For now, there’s no information on when the operation will be completed, but it starts to look like the defender will no longer play for the club, even though there’s a derby against their biggest rivals Vasco da Gama at the weekend.
